A vacancy has arisen for a Solicitor (2-4 PQE) in the Clinical Risk department to be based in Bristol.
Bevan Brittan is dedicated to providing commercial legal advice to clients in the Public, Private and Third Sectors which provide, procure, fund and regulate public services.
The Role
Led by Joanna Lloyd, Nominated Partner, the Clinical Negligence team are members of the NHSLA clinical negligence panel and are highly regarded for their work in the NHS. A number of individuals within the team also manage inquests files. The department consists of 6 partners and over 33 lawyers, 10 of whom form part of the clinical negligence team in Bristol. In joining the team your role would involve day to day management of a case load of medium value NHSLA files requiring a clear knowledge of the operating protocol in place with the NHSLA as well as a thorough understanding of the CPR, and law relevant to this area of practice.
The Individual
It is essential that you have direct experience of working in Defendant Clinical Negligence practice and will be able to demonstrate the ability to manage a caseload efficiently and to make robust commercial decisions. The ability to communicate clearly with clients, medical staff and expert witnesses is key.
