Charities and not-for-profit organisations are becoming increasingly integral to public service delivery and how private and public organisations interact.
We advise charities and not-for-profit organisations throughout the third sector, in particular focusing on our core health, local government, education and Registered Provider (formerly RSL) markets. This includes providing all service support to:
- registered charities
- exempt charities including further education colleges, universities and Registered Providers (formerly RSLs)
- non-departmental public bodies
- community interest companies
We also advise our clients in the private and public sector on their involvement with charities and social enterprises. This includes advising local authorities and health clients on all legal issues related to charities and social enterprises as well as advising clients on the innovative use of social enterprise vehicles in delivering public services and major projects.
As well as having expertise in the core areas of charity, commercial, employment and property law, our wider charities and not-for-profit team includes lawyers specialising in key areas such as procurement and intellectual property.
