Articled Ashurst Morris Crisp, qualified 1991. Moved to specialist NHS law firm Capsticks, 1996. Partner Capsticks 1999. Joined Bevan Ashford November 2001 as a partner. Partner, Bevan Brittan LLP 2004-.
What I do
I have wide experience of all aspects of commercial property for both the public and private sectors. I specialise in all matters affecting the ownership, letting, occupation, use or development of NHS property. I have developed particular expertise in primary care developments on which I have lectured and written widely.
Some examples
I have advised numerous health authorities, trusts and other NHS bodies on ground breaking ways to structure primary care developments to ensure the most effective and intra vires use of public capital while remaining economically attractive to the private sector.
I acted on the property aspects of the first bundled mental health PFI and advised on a retail concourse redevelopment for a major acute hospital.
