Hugo is a partner in the Banking and Finance Department at
Bevan Brittan specialising in Project Finance.
My Background
I joined Bevan Brittan as a partner in 2005. I previously
worked as an associate and senior associate at Norton Rose
in London.
What I
do
I advise on all financing aspects of Project
Finance
transactions and have been involved in a variety of national
and international projects acting for a range of
participants including financiers and project sponsors. I
also have a strong background in asset finance and real
estate finance having advised both lenders and borrowers in
significant UK leasing and real estate acquisition and
development
transactions.
Some examples
My recent experience includes:
Advising the Aura Consortium on the
£180million Newcastle BSF schools project;
Advising Nord LB in its capacity as senior debt funder on
the Wakefield Waste Management PFI project;
Advising bidding consortia on the Newham, Barnsley and
Salford BSF schools projects;
Advising the project company in
relation to Pathfinder PFI Social Housing Projects in Islington and
Camden;
Advising the senior lenders in relation to the financing of
the MOD Strategic Sealift Project undertaken by a British
shipping consortium;
Advising the senior lender
and finance lessor in relation to the Northern Isles Ferry
Service Project for the Scottish Ministers providing
lifeline services to the residents of Orkney and Shetland;
Advising the senior lenders in relation to a pathfinder PFI
project for the construction and refurbishment of
Magistrates’ Courts in England;
Advising a UK finance
lessor in relation to its funding of a proposed light rail
scheme in Liverpool;
Advising the real estate arm of a major European bank on the
financing of its acquisition of a substantial real estate
portfolio in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the
Isle of Man involving the use of Channel Island unit trust
structures;
Advising Bank of Ireland on the funding of a number of care
home acquisitions and developments.
