What I Do
I am a dispute resolution specialist with considerable experience in representing corporate and public sector clients in high value and complex commercial litigation.
I specialise in the conduct of major actions for fraud, breach of fiduciary duties and economic torts (including trade libel and confidential information), contractual disputes relating to the supply of goods and services (with increasing reference to information technology), intellectual property disputes and professional negligence claims.
Some Examples
My recent work has included:
· Pursuing a claim relating to confidential information, malicious falsehood and the unlawful use of trade secrets on behalf of a major financial services company.
· Acting for a manufacturer of white goods in securing emergency interim relief pursuant to a dispute over the ownership of machine presses from the UK supplier of parts in respect of the manufacturer’s washing machine.
· Being regularly retained on behalf of a ‘magic circle’ firm of chartered accountants in respect of professional negligence claims against the firm.
· Acting on behalf of a major Anglo-French transport company in a claim for the supply of defective railway rolling stock.
· Acting for a FTSE 100 luxury drinks company in cross-border anti counterfeit litigation.
· Acting for a satellite broadcaster in respect of a dispute with its Israeli distributors.
· Acting on behalf of a major acute hospital in defending a high profile defamation claim brought in the High Court concerning statements made to the media over a “three way mix up” at its assisted conception unit.
· Acting on behalf of an American Television and Broadcast News company in successfully pursuing its claim for copyright infringement against a hotel chain for showing unlicensed broadcasts.
· Acting for a mobile telecommunications company in an action for supplier fraud involving world wide asset freezing injunctions.
· Acting on behalf of a games developer in a dispute relating to the terms of a license with a film production company.
· Acting on behalf of a multi-national fine arts auction house in respect of a dispute over the title to the manuscript of a famous symphony (Rachmaninoff and Others v. Sotheby's).
