What I do
I advise a wide range of public sector clients on commercial contracting and related public law and procurement issues. Recent work has included advising central and local government as well as clients in the health, IT and education sectors on the implementation of public procurement processes and contracts for works, supplies and services. The establishing of frameworks, running competitive dialogue processes and the impact of EU procurement on development arrangements are current hot topics. I provide specialist procurement input to the Bevan Brittan's PPP/PFI and other projects in the health, education and local government sectors.

I also work in EU member states and further afield on the implementation and application of procurement rules at government level.

Some examples
I have worked with the Department for Transport on the setting up of a framework for  the Road Pricing Demonstration Project, Partnerships for Schools on the implementation of competitive dialogue for Building Schools for the Future, Equality Commission for Northern Ireland on social and environmental considerations in major projects procurements, multinational providers in the health and IT sectors in particular on selling into the public sector.
