I focus on large-scale development projects for public sector bodies such as local authorities, government departments, RDAs and the NHS. Education projects are another key area, and I enjoy providing property solutions to educational organisations such as Universities and Colleges.
I am particularly involved in the creation of Academies across the country and in the national Building Schools for the Future initiative. I advised central government on the drafting and revision of standard documentation for both Academies and BSF, and am advising on a number of schemes within both initiatives.
More generally, I act on development sales and acquisitions, and advise the public sector on the property aspects of PFI/PPP projects, particularly health and leisure schemes.
Development projects have included campus redevelopments for FE Colleges, and local authority disposals which aim to kick-start regeneration, whilst allowing the authority to share in development profit which is reinvested in other projects.
