I joined Bevan Brittan as an associate in February 2006, having worked previously at Addleshaw Goddard and Hammonds. I specialise in advising local authorities and infrastructure providers on major local authority procurements, in particular Building Schools for the Future (BSF) as well as other complex major procurements. I have advised Birmingham City Council (BCC) on their BSF project, which is the biggest BSF procurement nationally. I have particular experience of advising on partnering issues, advising BCC on identifying their objectives, ensuring that their private sector partners understand these objectives and respond accordingly, and identifying ways for BCC to capture the wider benefits they are seeking to achieve from their procurement, for example by way of Continuous Improvement. I am also advising Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council on their BSF, and have given extensive advice on the delivery contracts. I am acting for a variety of funders on two BSF projects nationally.
I have extensive experience of other markets including leisure, housing and badged services, and have also advised NHS bodies, contractors, subcontractors and funders.
