I am an assoicate in the Clinical Risk Department specialising in clinical negligence.
I defend the NHS Litigation Authority in a range of high value and complex clinical negligence claims including cerebral palsy, cauda equina, amputation, oncology and orthopaedic claims. I have defended a complex multi-party claim which not only included a clinical negligence claim but also product liability allegations. I have been seconded to the NHS Litigation Authority which gave me an invaluable perspective of the pressures facing the Authority and enabled me to better understand their needs as a client. I also provide a range of NHS Trusts with healthcare advice.
I trained at Welsh Health Legal Services before moving to Bevan Brittan where I also specialised in defending clinical negligence claims against the NHS in Wales but in addition I also defended Welsh Trusts against personal injury and employment claims, provided healthcare advice and attended inquests.
