I am an associate solicitor in the clinical risk team.
I qualified as a solicitor in 1992 and specialised in negligence law for 7 years. I have many years' experience in legal information and knowledge management work. My role as a professional support lawyer involves providing the team with a comprehensive and focussed information and research service. I write regular newsletters, bulletins and flyers on current legal issues for clients and journal articles for a variety of academic and health professional journals. I have a Masters degree in mental health law.
I have spoken at conferences on knowledge management issues and provide consultancy services to other organisations regarding best practice in knowledge management.
I currently sit as a magistrate on the Bristol Bench and am also a member of the Lord Chancellor's Advisory Committee for Bristol.
