I am an Associate in the Costs department.
I handle a wide range of liability claims for insurers and self-insured private and public sector clients. I also advise on complex disputes on insurance policy wordings and coverage, which often involves liaising between different insurers (and re-insurers) in relation to the same claim.
My aim is always to deal with claims efficiently and effectively, making sure that costs do not become disproportionate to the sums at stake. I provide focused, solutions-based advice, looking at all aspects of the claim and with the bigger picture in mind, rather than simply following the procedural steps. I always consider alternative means of resolving claims which invariably leads to speedier resolution and reduced costs.
I am also a member of Bevan Brittan's costs team, providing costs advice and drafting at all stages of disputes, including preparing Bills of Costs and Points of Dispute and attending Detailed Assessments.
