I am a partner in our Major Projects department, working primarily in further and higher education, Leisure and Infrastructure markets for a range of both private and public sector clients.
I am a key member of the firm’s highly-respected PFI and PPP team and have extensive experience of the market after having advised on more than 75 PFI and PPP schemes in the UK and overseas. My work comprises advising local government as well as private sector bodies.
In recent years, I have been heavily involved in the development of the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme since originally being instructed by the DFES (now known as DCSF and DIUS) in 2003. I am widely recognised as a leading expert on BSF schemes and I continue to advise as part of Bevan Brittan’s specialist BSF team when it is instructed by a range of local authorities and numerous bidding consortia.
I have also been an influential figure in leisure and culture projects and was instrumental in creating the contractual and procurement structures and advising both public and private sectors on PPP routes - and, more recently, on local asset-backed vehicle structures.
