I am a partner in our Commercial and Infrastructure department and Head of our Communities and Local Government practice, responsible for client relationships and business development to government, national and local, and private sector organisations bidding back into these markets.
I have extensive experience of PFI and PPP having advised on more than 80 schemes in the UK and overseas. Having lead our firm's work as creator of Building Schools for the Future I have taken the lessons of complex procurements into other areas.
I am advising on market leading initiatives in the energy sector including advising Birmingham City Council on its procurement of a Green Deal delivery partner (the first such procurement of its type in the country) and several local authorities on district heating schemes.
Being familiar with the political, economic and legislative landscape I am supporting clients on alternative methods and models of service delivery (outsourcing, joint ventures and commissioning only council models and procurements), regeneration and use of assets (LABVs, developments and strategic asset management partnerships) and funding proposals (using ELENA, CIL, potentially TIF and bonds).
