I am a legal executive in the Costs department, providing costs advice and drafting at all stages of disputes.
I advise insurers and self-insured organisations on a wide range of public liability claims, involving property damage and a variety of personal injury claims. I specialise in particular in advising domestic insurers on liability claims made against their policyholders.
I also run a portfolio of cases involving infant claimants and have a strong record of disposing of these claims cost effectively.
I gained considerable experience from a secondment, as Acting Legal Claims Manager, to one of the team's self-insured clients. This gave me an invaluable 'client perspective', and emphasised to me the importance to the client of keeping legal costs proportionate to the amount at stake in any dispute.
