I am a senior associate in the Construction and Engineering Department. I concentrate on procurement strategy and the practicalities of scheme implementation together with advisory work and project management. My work encompasses construction contracts, consultant appointments, security documentation, framework and term contracts, development agreements and other forms of contractual joint venture documentation. I have an interest in collaborative procurement and the integration of supply chains in order to underpin and achieve successful scheme delivery and best value.
My recent work includes long term outsourcing arrangements for local authorities in relation to their transportation and highways functions, capitally funded civil engineering and remediation projects, new build and refurbishment works for regeneration, mixed-use, housing and office developments, contractual joint venture documentation and, in relation to PPP/PFI projects, advising procuring authorities, funders, contractors and subcontractors in the roads, education, health, leisure and housing sectors.
Through advising clients at the interface of the public and private sectors I have a good deal of experience in advising authorities on how to get the best out of the competitive dialogue procurement process and advising bidders on how to maximize their chance of success through the adoption of the most appropriate bid strategy.
