I head up our Property Disputes Resolution and Housing Management team and act for a wide range of clients from individuals to the Government, although a lot of my work nowadays involves acting for Registered Providers ( formerly RSLs).
Although I trained as a litigator in the City and enjoy going to Court as much as the next litigator, much of my work nowadays involves working with clients on sensitive and important property issues where going to Court is the last resort, and I have gained a lot of experience of helping them to achieve their aims in other ways.
I also enjoy working closely with clients and whilst an adviser can never know their client's business as well as a client, I did the next best thing by being our first partner to go on secondment to a client at Knightstone Housing Association. This had a big effect on how I treated clients and their work to the extent that I have since persuaded most of my team to go on secondments to other clients as well.
