I am an associate in the costs department and have been with Bevan Brittan since 1989. I am a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives and I also have a Diploma in Costs Drafting.
I have experience in both Claimant and Defendant personal injury claims with particular emphasis on Defendant road traffic claims involving multi-party issues and acting for Insurers. I have also handled debt actions and employer's liability claims.
Additionally, I head up our internal Costs Department dealing with inter parte costs issues and working for both private and public sector clients including Insurers, local planning authorities and the NHSLA.
I have practical experience through many years of litigation of all aspects of the costs settlement process, including bill drafting, points of dispute, negotiation and attendance before the Court. We have been successful reducing the shelf-life of cases at the costs stage, as well as driving down the levels of opponents’ costs and maximising costs recovery.
