I am an associate in the commercial department focusing on regulatory issues.
I joined Bevan Brittan in July 2007 and was previously at TLT since 1985. I am recognised by Chambers as a leader in the field of professional conduct and regulation.
At TLT I acted for the Law Society, the Nursing and Midwifery Council, the General Teaching Council for England and the Council for Healthcare Regulatory Excellence. I have also defended practitioners before their professional bodies including acting for an accountant in the first case before the Accountancy Investigation and Discipline Board. I have acted in a number of reported cases including the well known case of Brabaszon-Drenning v UKCC (2000). I am an experienced advocate, undertaking all my own advocacy, including hearings before the Master of the Rolls.
I am a member of the Solicitors Regulation Authority's Panel of Prosecutors for proceedings before the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal. I also deal with appeals from decisions of the Tribunal. I have also acted as Presenting Officer for the General Teaching Council for Wales and as Legal Advisor to the Care Council for Wales.
