I am a commercial lawyer, advising both private and public sector clients on key commercial issues and contracts. I have particular expertise in long-term outsourcing agreements, IT and telecommunications contracts but am also experienced in supply and distribution contracts and partnering agreements. Typically, this will involve drafting and negotiating contract documents, advising on risk issues and finding solutions to legal and commercial problems.
I have advised the Department for Children, Schools and Families since 2005 on the IT and infrastructure requirements of the high-profile Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme. I also advised the Department for Transport in connection with the framework and services contracts for a recent project that tested the technical feasibility of “road pricing” technologies.
In the private sector, I have advised our life insurance clients on a range of outsourcing projects, including print management; recruitment services, data management and related IT services. I have a number of hi-tech engineering clients and regularly advise them on their strategic supply chain arrangements and on strategies for the protection and exploitation of intellectual property and know-how.
