I am a commercial lawyer specialising in European Public Procurement Law.
My work involves advising central government departments, local authorities, NHS trusts and other public bodies on strategic and operational issues in public tendering exercises.
I have advised on applying and adapting the competitive dialogue procedure to a broad range of major projects including the Building Schools for the Future schemes, waste management PFI, highways services, property development projects, shared services and leisure management schemes.
I am also involved in advising on legal challenges both in bringing and defending actions in relation to procurement award or elimination decisions.
On secondment to HM Treasury, I was a legal advisor to the Office of Government Commerce’s collaborative procurement programme to achieve efficiency savings in procurement across central government departments.
I also provide training through seminars on developments in procurement law.
