I currently run the firm’s London clinical risk team alongside London-based Departmental head Joanne Easterbrook.
I joined Bevan Brittan in 2002 and specialise in defendant clinical negligence litigation. I have an affinity with all things medical and my practice enables me to work closely with clinicians to help them through litigation by explaining the process and giving robust, commercial advice early on and with a clear sense of direction.
I specialise in fetal medicine, obstetric and genetic cases, in particular cerebral palsy, or other high-value paediatric and neurological injuries. I represent the UK's largest private diagnostics lab and deal with a number of challenging cases about pre-natal screening of rare congenital abnormalities. I am also active in areas including neurosurgery, oncology claims and the Human Rights Act and work closely with the NHSLA and a large number of NHS Trusts, Health Authorities, individual doctors and private health insurers like BUPA.
