I am a commercial lawyer specialising in advising public sector organisations on reorganisation, outsourcing, joint ventures, income generation, trading and shared services.
I advise organisations across the public sector, including in particular local authorities and NHS bodies, as well as private sector clients working at the private – public interface. My work often centres around innovative collaborations between organisations and the powers of public sector organisations to partake in such ventures and thereafter the contractual documentation needed to implement projects.
I am also a specialist in law relating to charities, mutuals and social enterprise and advise public, private and third sector organisations on all issues in this area. This has involved wide experience of advising on projects, within both the health and local government sectors, involving hiving-off departments from public bodies to form separate social enterprise and mutuals.
