I am a solicitor in the clinical risk team specialising in medical negligence.
I defend the NHS Litigation Authority on a range of high value and complex clinical negligence claims including Fatal Accidents Act claims, amputation, cauda equina, oncology, orthopaedic, Erb’s palsy, wrongful birth and cerebral palsy claims. I have been seconded to the NHS Litigation Authority which gave me an invaluable insight into the work that the Litigation Authority do which helped me to better understand their requirements.
An important aspect of my work is ensuring that clinicians are supported during the claims process and ensuring that claims are dealt with proportionately and quickly.
