I am a solicitor in the clinical risk team specialising in clinical negligence.
I defend the NHS Litigation Authority on a range of clinical negligence claims including Fatal Accidents Act claims, orthopaedic, obstetric, and complex surgical claims. I have particular experience with dealing with litigants in person.
An important aspect of my work is ensuring that clinicians are supported during the claims process and ensuring that claims are dealt with proportionately and quickly.
I joined Bevan Brittan as a trainee in September 2008 and qualified in September 2010. I work closely with the NHSLA and a number of NHS Trusts. I have also been seconded to the NHSLA which has assisted me in understanding the NHSLA's requirements and developing professional contacts.
