I am a solicitor in the Construction and Engineering department.
I act for contractors, local authorities, NHS trusts, Universities, Registered Providers and special purpose companies, across a number of sectors including education, leisure, regeneration, health and social housing. My work involves reviewing, drafting and negotiation of both standard and bespoke forms of building contracts, framework agreements, development agreements, professional appointments and novation agreements.
I have been involved with a number of PPP/PFI projects, including Health PFI, LIFT, and Social Housing projects (including a Social Housing PFI). I have also assisted with a number of BSF projects.
In addition to my work with PFI/PPP projects, I have recently been involved in advising a local authority on the outsourcing of their highways functions, advising a number of Universities in relation to the redevelopment of elements of their estates and advising a Registered Provider (formerly known as RSLs) with regard to their standard development documentation. I also provide advice in relation to post-close issues arising in projects, and have assisted with contentious construction matters.
