I am a solicitor in the clinical risk team based in the firm's London office.
I joined Bevan Brittan in 2008 as a trainee solicitor and qualified in September 2010. I specialise in defendant clinical negligence litigation working on a broad range of cases including complex surgical, intensive care, obstetric and orthopaedic claims. I also have an interest in mental health and Human Rights Act claims.
I work closely with the NHSLA with the aim to defend claims robustly where justified but to deal with them fairly and cost-effectively if settlement is appropriate. I also work closely with a large number of NHS Trusts, guiding clinicians through litigation with a clear sense of direction. I have undertaken secondments both at the NHSLA and at a Trust's legal department which have given me an inside view of how things work on a day-to-day basis.
