I was previously head of the commercial and procurement team at the Treasury Solicitor’s Department and before that was the deputy legal adviser at Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ). I was also the board legal adviser to CESG, the UK’s national information assurance authority.
I head the firm’s Procurement Team. I provide specialist advice on EU and UK Procurement law and practice.
Most of my work is at the public/private interface (including major projects) and takes into account relevant government policy and guidance such as OGC procurement policy statements. I have a special interest in government contracts, framework agreements, structures for shared services, competitive dialogue, public administrative law and defence related contract issues.
I also advise on state aid issues arising in a wide range of public/private transactions.
I am a regular speaker at procurement and public sector conferences and a member of the Procurement Lawyers' Association.
