I joined Bevan Brittan in 2002. In 2005/06 I spent 18 months on secondments at Sotheby's and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and was made a senior associate in 2008. I specialise in dispute resolution acting for large UK and international organisations and regulators in complex commercial, regulatory and financial services/banking disputes.
I provide concise and pragmatic commercial dispute resolution advice and act for clients in mediations, arbitrations and High Court proceedings including judicial reviews.
In October 2008 we were instructed to act for the UK local authorities as well as a new steering group set up by the Local Government Association (LGA) to represent every public sector body, including fire and police services, caught up in the crisis that has decimated Iceland's financial system. I have been leading the advice to local authorities and other creditors who have deposits tied up with a number of icelandic banks - including their UK subsidiaries and branches - totalling in excess of £1billion.
I act regularly for the Law Society in relation to High Court litigation including various applications for judicial review and obtaining urgent injuctions, and on behalf of a 'top 5' firm of chartered accountant in claims for professional negligence including those relating to the provision of financial services and tax advice.
