Bevan Brittan's Birmingham Office To Relocate To Interchange Place
Bevan Brittan LLP has signed a lease for 20,000 sq ft of real estate in the heart of Birmingham’s legal district. The move to Interchange Place follows rapid growth since opening the practice in April 2001.
The 60-plus strong Birmingham office has expanded considerably over the past few years as a result of organic growth and new business wins. Recent wins include Page & Moy, Town and Country Inns and Lyreco.
The firm has also embarked on an ambitious recruitment drive to support the office's expansion in its real estate, licensing and health teams.
Employees currently located in Alpha Tower are expected to move to the new property towards the end of the summer. The new premises has the capacity to house up to 130 staff.
Birmingham office lead partner Sara Woffenden commented: “We’ve simply outgrown our existing premises and in the last 18 months staff numbers have increased by a third. The move to the new office signals Bevan Brittan’s growing presence in the Midlands and demonstrates our commitment to Birmingham.”
Chief Executive Stuart Whitfield added: ”This is an exciting development for the firm and another indicator that Bevan Brittan is a business undergoing rapid growth. We are currently witnessing annual growth rates of over 20 per cent.
A major priority for the Executive Board last year was to address the issue of premises across our three sites. In London, the firm relocated to larger premises in August, occupying 30 000 sq ft near St Paul’s Cathedral and in Bristol, we recently received full planning permission to extend our new property, King’s Orchard to 108 000 sq ft. Once complete, the building will have the capacity to house over 600 staff. Our new property arrangements will really help us to grow our business and position Bevan Brittan as a serious contender in the national legal market. ”
