Bevan Brittan Hosts Charity Ball for NCH

National law firm Bevan Brittan LLP has helped to raise over £35,000 for the UK’s leading children’s charity NCH by hosting a Charity Ball at the Royal Courts of Justice in London.

The inaugural Ball took place on 21 November and was attended by over 400 guests. The celebrity host for the evening was ITN newsreader Nicholas Owen and the auction was hosted by Sotheby’s auctioneer Freya Mitton. Live entertainment was provided by Dublin’s ‘saviours of soul’ The Commitments.

All proceeds from the Ball will go to assist with more than 500 NCH projects across the country, which help support some the UK’s most vulnerable and excluded children, young people and their families.

Bevan Brittan Chief Executive, Stuart Whitfield said: “The Ball was held for the benefit of an extremely worthy cause and we are delighted that it was such as success and raised so much money for NCH.

As a firm we are passionate about the areas we practice in and take corporate social responsibility extremely seriously. Our expertise in areas such as health, education and regeneration meant that NCH was the right charity for us to support.

The event was so well received by clients and guests that it appears, by popular demand, that it will be the first of many to come.”

Liz Monks, Executive Director of Fundraising for NCH said; “£35,000 is a huge amount of money to be raised in one night and every penny will go towards making a positive difference to the lives of some of the most vulnerable children and young people in this country.

“NCH is incredibly grateful for the generosity of Bevan Brittan and all the auction guests, this really has been a fantastic success and I’m looking forward to working with them on equally brilliant events in the future.”

In addition to Bevan Brittan, key sponsors of the event included KPMG and Hochtief PPP Solutions.
