Bevan Brittan hires two senior lawyers in Bristol and Birmingham

Bevan Brittan has continued its recent investment after sealing the appointment of a brace of senior lawyers for its fast-expanding commercial litigation and property practices.

Paul Kirkpatrick and Aman Hart both join the firm this month as associates in Birmingham and Bristol respectively.

Paul joined Bevan Brittan’s Birmingham office as an associate on 7 January from Wragge & Co, where he was also an associate.

He will work closely with partner Adam Kendall, who also joined the firm’s commercial litigation practice from Wragge & Co in September.

Paul is an experienced dispute resolution practitioner who advises a wide selection of both private and public sector clients on a full range of commercial disputes work.  In addition, he has a particular focus on professional negligence and product liability claims work.

During his time at Wragge & Co, Paul also spent some time on secondment as an in-house lawyer with the litigation team at global telecoms company BT plc.

Commenting on the appointment, Adam Kendall said: “I am delighted Paul is joining Bevan Brittan at such an exciting time [for the firm] with the recent expansion of our Birmingham office and the development of what is now a really top-tier national litigation practice.”

Meanwhile, Aman Hart also joined Bevan Brittan as an associate on Monday (14 January).  She moves from
Bond Pearce, where she was previously a solicitor.

Aman is an experienced property finance lawyer with additional expertise in property investment, development and landlord & tenant issues as well as more generalist commercial property work.

Prior to joining Bond Pearce, she also worked as a solicitor in the real estate department at City firm Herbert Smith.

In her new role at Bevan Brittan, she will work closely with associate Rob Harrison in expanding the firm’s property finance practice in Bristol.

Commenting on the appointment, Ian Caplan, who heads up Bevan Brittan’s property team, part of the firm’s umbrella Property, Planning & Construction practice, said: “Aman’s arrival is great news for Bevan Brittan.  She is a talented lawyer with bags of City experience who will be a genuine asset to our expanding property team and to the firm as a whole.”
