Bevan Brittan are experts in public sector law and we focus on provision of support to a wide range of public sector law bodies in their relationships with each other, the voluntary sector and with the commercial world. Our public sector law work includes Grant agreements and commercial contracts as well as more complex Public Private Partnership schemes where we often work closely with our colleagues in Projects.
The public sector law work regularly raises issues concerning the powers of public bodies and the regulatory framework that surrounds them, as well as more intangible issues of public sector law decision making. Our advice covers a comprehensive range of advice from procurement issues to accountability frameworks and public probity aspects of the relationships.
As part of the wider public sector law team we support and draw on their knowledge of NHS and Social care law in particular the patient care and human rights requirements that need to be reflected in our documents.
With 22 partners and 72 solicitors and other lawyers, we have a formidable dispute resolution capability. Within the team, we have six barristers and solicitor advocates who can provide advocacy services for all tribunals, both arbitrations and court proceedings up to and including the House of Lords.
