We advise both commercial developers and private housing developers on a diverse spectrum of development work from inner-city large scale brownfield regeneration to greenfield developments within expansion areas. Our clients undertake residential and commercial projects, commercial property investment activity in the office market and large-scale mixed-use regeneration projects. Our comprehensive experience of these types of projects runs from the planning stage through construction of the schemes and their subsequent disposal.
Recent experience includes:
- advising a developer on site remediation, infrastructure and construction contracts for four mixed-use schemes to be constructed on brownfield sites and with development values between £150m and £450m
- advising an RSL Group in relation to the preparation of a suite of contract documentation including various forms of construction contracts, consultant appointments and development agreements in order to implement a VAT recovery scheme through a subsidiary development company
- acting for a number of Registered Providers to establish framework contracts and the associated call-off contracts in order to comply with the EU Procurement Regulations and to aim for best-value procurement for new build schemes and planned and reactive maintenance for existing housing stock
- advising Taunton Deane Borough Council in relation to the construction of the Halse Water Dam to meet the requirements of the Environment Agency to enable the development of a mixed-use scheme
- advising a developer on a series of civil contracts with an aggregate value of around £25million for site remediation/infrastructure, including the construction of a one-million cubic metre noise bund for the release of a 2,500 unit mixed-use development
