PPP/PFI

Bevan Brittan’s property team works very closely with the firm’s large projects department (see major projects) to help ensure that the provision of property advice is provided in a seamless fashion and that the real estate considerations within any project are given the necessary significance.  On some projects land acquisition or title restrictions can be critical to the success of the project.

Bevan Brittan has a strong PFI/ PPP practice which means that our property team advises on all the forms of PFI /PPP including Building Schools for the Future (BSF), Local Improvement Finance Trusts (LIFT), waste schemes, street lighting, leisure, housing and social care.

Many of the property team are used to running large projects themselves so we understand how important it is to ensure that any key land issues are identified and resolved quickly.

Alison Buckingham is a specialist in the local government sector, while Mark Calverley heads up the health property team.

Prized for its BSF knowledge, this national firm is an established provider of advice to the public sector on high-volume PFI/PPP programmes. In recent months, the group has been making a successful push into the private sector, with clients finding the group’s “extremely perceptive insights into how the other side thinks” particularly helpful. Interviewees commended the firm’s responsiveness and comment that the group provides “excellent value for money.”
