Bevan Brittan’s national Banking and Finance Team advises on all types of banking and finance transactions.

These include project, property, and bond finance, syndicated lending, acquisitions, MBO’s and reconstructions.

Our practice is structured to provide a hands-on, cross discipline team approach to the resourcing and management of transactions and the development of new products. We draw on expert lawyers from across our specialist practice areas of banking, projects, corporate, construction, tax and property to focus on the needs of our financial institution, corporate and public sector clients.

Bevan Brittan is one of the few firms whose work is equally strong in both the public and private sector. Our strength in the public sector matches our acknowledged excellence in working with major private sector clients. This results in exceptional expertise in the complex issues and relationships that arise when the public and private sectors interface.

We have advised, or are advising on approximately 300 PFI/PPP schemes in the UK and overseas in Health (including NHS LIFT), Education, Defence, Waste, Leisure, Accommodation, Badged Services, Infrastructure and IT. These have a net present value in excess of £25 billion.

We regularly advise both lenders and borrower clients on acquisitions, MBOs, MBIs, restructurings and structured finance as well as advising venture capitalists and business angels on both equity and debt funding.

Our dedicated property finance group advises on all types of secured lending and development finance transactions. We have extensive experience of development and regeneration projects including the planning, environmental and construction law issues that may be involved.
