Clients appreciated the “clarity of its analytical advice” and it handles challenges with “flexibility and a great deal of clear analysis.” Chambers UK, A Client’s Guide to the Legal Profession 2007

We act for employers across a broad spectrum of sectors, including a large number of multi-nationals.  We aim to establish close working relationships with our clients to provide an effective employment law service.  The pace of legislative change requires proactive advice on policy issues which take account of forthcoming legislation, both at a national and EU level.  The advice we provide covers all aspects of the employment relationship and offers a complete service, including:

  • Advice on disciplinary/other internal procedures

  • Discrimination

  • Contractual and policy documentation

  • Representation in Tribunals and Courts

  • European law

  • TUPE

  • Employment taxation

  • Reorganisation and redundancy

  • Family friendly issues

  • Workforce retention

  • Industrial relations

  • Protection of business interests

  • Working time

  • Pensions

  • Whistleblowing

  • Equal pay

The employment team comprises 6 partners, 7 associates, 9 assistants, a dedicated in house barrister, 3 trainees and a specialist employment know-how lawyer. One of the partners is also a qualified barrister, one is a part-time chairman of the Employment Tribunals and all partners in the team have been recognised in the legal directories as leaders in their field. The team also works closely with our Tax department.
