Bevan Brittan is at the forefront of new developments in the NHS.

This work demands creativity and strategic thinking. For example, Partnerships UK appointed us to advise on the development of the standard documentation for NHS LIFT. We are also advising the Department of Health – South East Region on the transfer of responsibility for Prison Health to PCTs. Our Health team acted on the establishment of one of the first wave Care Trusts, the first Mental Health Care Trust in the South of England. We drew up the standard documentation for the APMS programme which has the potential to change the face of primary care forever which opens up the market to private sector providers.

Our lawyers are working with the public sector to help develop new models of delivery with NHS bodies that avoid lengthy procurement processes and harness the innovation of the private sector to the advantage of the public sector. Bevan Brittan is are introducing clients and contacts to each other where we have identified a business opportunity or to fill a funding gap. Our work with Foundation Trusts is cutting edge. We are looking at the implications of patient choose and book for clients: modelling future change so that we can support our clients and help them to make the right decisions for sustainable growth.

Wherever we turn there are new ways in which our adaptability and passion for the NHS can express itself – these are indeed interesting times. None of us have ever known a time like it, when the opportunities for bringing the delivery of health care into the 21st century and beyond are almost boundless. We intend to be there.
