Housing associations and social housing
"This team continues to thrive in the sector, having acted on more than 30 property developments and 14 anti-social behaviour cases. Evidence of its quality is illustrated by its reappointment to Places for People's development work advisory panel." Chambers UK, A Client’s Guide to the Legal Profession 2007

Drawing on our wide knowledge of the housing market and our broad public sector experience, we work closely with Registered Social Landlords to help them find new ways of managing, developing and improving their housing stock while controlling costs within a tightly regulated framework.

Our dedicated team of lawyers has considerable experience of all aspects of Registered Social Landlords' work. This includes procurement, funding, governance and regulatory work, property development; funding agreements; housing management and development including specialist schemes such as community care, PFI, foyer schemes and key worker and student accommodation; right to buy, shared ownership and all varieties of tenant acquisition and lease schemes; statutory/housing corporation compliance; constitutional and corporate advice; housing management advice; rent arrears and possession actions; nuisance cases and injunctions; service contracts, employment issues, construction disputes, contracts and appointments.

We also provide business development advice covering projects/rejuvenation programmes, developments linked to health, local authority and education sectors and partnering arrangements.

We appreciate the pressures and demands on your time and concentrate on offering practical, common sense legal advice to allow you to manage the risks, identify opportunities and implement solutions.

We are continuously identifying issues affecting the success of your business and offer a comprehensive range of lectures and seminars on current topics relevant to you. To complement these events we provide a range of updates, bulletins and alerts on case law and legislation.
