We focus on provision of support to a wide range of public sector bodies in their relationships with each other, the voluntary sector and with the commercial world. Our work includes Grant agreements and commercial contracts as well as more complex Public Private Partnership schemes where we often work closely with our colleagues in Projects.
The work regularly raises issues concerning the powers of public bodies and the regulatory framework that surrounds them, as well as more intangible issues of public sector decision making. Our advice covers a comprehensive range of advice from procurement issues to accountability frameworks and public probity aspects of the relationships.
As part of the wider health and social care team we support and draw on their knowledge of NHS and Social care law in particular the patient care and human rights requirements that need to be reflected in our documents.
We acted for a consortium of public bodies in Herefordshire in connection with the procurement from scratch of a new facility for intermediate care, together with care home and day care facilities from the private sector; the revenue aspects of the scheme are governed by a partnership scheme for the commissioning and budget arrangements.
