Wednesday 24 March
This webinar was another in our series of virtual Healthcare Estates Breakfast Briefing, where Bevan Brittan and our guest speakers explored primary care development projects from the perspective of the local CCG.
Our team are working on primary care led developments across the country with CCGs (including integrated health and wellbeing hub projects), using a wide range of delivery models – including via Local Authorities, NHS Property Services, using NHS E capital funding or by supporting GPs through a traditional 3PD route. In this session, we looked at some of the issues that arise for CCGs on primary care development projects and covered the following:
• the current legal delivery routes for taking forward a primary care or integrated hub project in your area, including working with other stakeholders
• our guest speaker, Tim James from NHS Bristol, North Somerset and Gloucestershire CCG drew on his experience of running primary care schemes at the CCG and shared some hints and tips for successful outcomes
• our guest speaker, Claire Colgan, Director (Consulting) at Turner & Townsend shared some of her experience from the initial stages of transformative primary care projects in Yorkshire and other useful insights for commissioners
This session will be particularly useful for those working within the estates function of CCGs or those supporting them and others with an interest in the primary care estate.
