I am a public law and regulatory advisor and litigator. I advise public sector clients on a range of public law and regulatory issues and act in judicial review proceedings.
My clients include local authorities, charities, trusts, auditors and other public bodies.
Prior to joining Bevan Brittan, I worked for several years at the Government Legal Department where I was the instructing solicitor and responsible for managing high-profile and complex judicial review cases including some of the headline challenges to the Government’s Covid-19 response. I represented major government departments including the Cabinet Office, Department of Health and Social Care and Department for Work and Pensions on cases of significant public importance in the Admin Court, Court of Appeal and Upper Tribunal and provided litigation advice up to Ministerial level. Before coming to the UK, I started my career at the largest commercial law firm in New Zealand in their Local Government and Environment Team.
