• I am a non-contentious construction lawyer (New Zealand qualified), and advise on construction and development projects.

    I am experienced in negotiating and preparing construction contracts, together with related project documents – development agreements, joint venture arrangements, supply chain engagement, long term repairs and maintenance contracts, and project security documents.

    I work with local authorities and other public entities across a range of sectors, including housing and regeneration, health, leisure, education, and infrastructure.



    • Advising an irrigation company on the design and construction of a major irrigation scheme in New Zealand, including 200km of pipeline providing irrigation to 20,000ha of farmland.
    • Advising an airport company on a design and build contract for a new airport hotel at Wellington Airport, to be constructed adjacent to the existing international terminal.
    • Acting for a New Zealand government department on the construction of three new modular prison buildings, including assisting with the tender, the commercial negotiations, and preparing the final form of contract and related documentation.
    • Advising a New Zealand ministry on the seismic strengthening, refurbishment and internal fit out of a commercial building in Wellington, New Zealand.
