• I specialise in housing and development and primarily act for registered providers on development transactions, large and small. I undertake both development transactions and property charging and deal with the acquisition of land and agreement of development agreements, together with advising on the associated planning and section 106 agreements.

I have extensive experience dealing with property charging, acting both for Registered Providers in preparing property for charge and drafting certificates of title, and acting for lenders to the sector. This work helps to inform the development work that I do, as it is important to ensure that any new developments bought by any Registered Provider can, ultimately, be charged to realise funds to acquire more developments.

I work with Wendy in dealing with stock transfers between Registered Providers and providing due diligence assistance in mergers and acquisitions. I also provide corporate support, reviewing property documentation held by a target company.

  • My career highlights include:

    • working on the acquisition and development of The Scene, Walthamstow for our client, Islington and Shoreditch Housing Association
    • working with our client, Peabody Trust (formerly Family Mosaic Housing) on various acquisitions from major house builders, which always present their own challenges
    • working with our client, Peabody Trust, on their ongoing regeneration of their estate at St John’s Hill, Wandsworth
    • working with one of our smaller clients on a bespoke, five unit scheme, which had various access issues and was overlooked by many neighbours, the scheme may have been small but the problems loomed large and took a lot of skill and patience to resolve, although thankfully there was a successful resolution to all.
