Bevan Brittan’s Leeds Property Team has been shortlisted for Property Law Firm of the Year in the prestigious Insider Yorkshire Property Industry Awards 2020.

The Insider Yorkshire Property Awards have become one of the go-to commercial property events in the region and have been running for two decades. They recognise the achievements of the people and businesses that have designed, developed, funded, built and continue to manage the built environment.

Bevan Brittan’s Yorkshire property practice combines market focus and breadth of knowledge to support a wide range of clients across services such as dispute resolution, litigation, acquisitions, asset management, commercial leasing and plot sales management.

The team works with most Yorkshire-based Registered Providers and serves clients in sectors including healthcare, local government, manufacturing and energy. Many of the high-value projects the team works on are cutting-edge developments that will transform local communities.

Among the most notable was advising Yorkshire Housing Ltd on the acquisition of a large development site in Sherburn-in-Elmet – the largest ‘own-development’ Yorkshire Housing has undertaken.

In 2019/20, the Commercial Property Team also launched a new secure lending service, providing support and advising business lending providers in Yorkshire and beyond.

Commenting on the shortlisting, Michael Boyd, partner and Head of the Leeds office at Bevan Brittan, said: “We are very pleased to be shortlisted in these prestigious awards, a sign of how our team has established itself strongly in the market over the last few years. We have a reputation for providing market-leading advice to Housing Associations, with our Yorkshire Social Housing team ranked in the top tier in both the Chambers and Legal 500 directories.

“We look forward to hearing the outcome.”
