Bevan Brittan has continued its impressive momentum in 2021 by strengthening a number of key areas with the appointment of three new Partners, as it begins the next stage of its strategic expansion.

Construction experts Helen Andrews and Sarah Wilson, along with Higher Education Corporate specialist Rachel Soundy, have all joined Bevan Brittan’s team this month, taking the total new senior recruits to join the firm so far in 2021 to six.

They are joined by two Senior Associates, both in the firm’s Birmingham office, and a number of other recruits as the business adds strength and depth to teams within both its established and emerging markets.

The news comes just weeks after Bevan Brittan recorded a 9.1% increase in revenue to £56.1m (19/20: £51.4m) last month, its eight consecutive year of growth, as it begins delivering its new five-year strategy.

Helen joins Bevan Brittan from Fieldfisher and is an experienced addition to the firm’s Construction Team in Birmingham. Her broad experience includes advising on contentious and non-contentious matters acting for main contractors, subcontractors, employers, developers, funders, consultants and end user occupiers.

Fellow construction expert Sarah joins Bevan Brittan in Leeds. She brings significant experience from a 20-year career working with contractors, subcontractors and consultants in contentious and non-contentious matters, including advising on high-value engineering and construction projects across waste, utilities, chemical and energy works and house building.

Corporate Partner Rachel, a Higher Education specialist, moves to Bevan Brittan from Eversheds Sutherland, adding strength and depth to a team that recently secured a position on the major London Universities Purchasing Consortium (LUPC) Framework.

The three Partners are joined by Senior Associates William Cursham and Jake Stacey in the expanding Construction Team.

Bevan Brittan’s Managing Partner, Duncan Weir, said: “I am delighted that we have been able to attract so many high-quality recruits to our business alongside our internal promotions at Partner level and add yet more strength and depth to advise our growing client base across our emerging and established markets.

“The arrival of Helen, Sarah and Rachel, in Birmingham and Leeds, means we have now recruited six Partners in 2021, with more to follow. It is especially pleasing to see all three join emerging markets of Construction and Higher Education, supporting our ambitious business strategy as we look to build on our eighth consecutive year of revenue growth.”
