• I am a solicitor in the Health & Care Regulatory team, based in the London office. I advise clients across the health and social care sector, including local authorities and NHS Trusts, plus independent and third sector providers.  My work predominantly involves advising and representing clients in the Court of Protection, at inquests, on safeguarding issues and on matters within children and education law.

I have worked as a public sector lawyer for over 10 years with a specialism in the law relating to vulnerable adults and children.  This have enabled me to gain a wealth of experience in the Court of Protection in both section 16 welfare applications, including matters relating to care and treatment, residence, sexual relations, use of CCTV and deprivations of liberty. I also have significance experience in advising clients in all areas of the Care Act 2014 including safeguarding adults, direct payments and ordinary residence disputes.  My practice areas include children’s safeguarding and educational law.   This broad experience enables me to look at the wider context of matters including the governance structures that are likely to sit behind them.

I regularly conduct advocacy in Court of Protection proceedings and at inquests.

In my previous role, I represented local authorities on all aspects of health and adult social care matters including judicial reviews and within the Covid19 Inquiry. I also have a particular interest in age assessments.
