Bevan Brittan has advised The Hyde Group on the real estate aspects of a significant transaction involving the sale of a seed portfolio of more than 1,000 social rented and shared ownership homes into a newly established joint venture with Legal & General. The multi-disciplinary team played a central role in supporting the structuring and execution of the deal ensuring that the real estate elements were aligned with the broader commercial objectives of the parties involved.
Bevan Brittan’s work spanned the full transaction from preparation of a data room for the sale of six new build schemes comprising all necessary legal and operational data, liaising with consultants to drafting, negotiating and completing the necessary multiple legal documents.
This transaction demonstrates Bevan Brittan’s strength in handling large-scale, multi-asset real estate deals and our ability to deliver pragmatic, commercially focused advice within tight timeframes. By working collaboratively with the client and other professionals, Bevan Brittan was able to navigate the complexities of the transaction and support the creation of this new partnership.
The successful completion of this deal marks an important milestone for the parties involved and establishes a strong platform for future growth of the portfolio under the joint venture structure. Bevan Brittan is proud to have supported The Hyde Group on this landmark transaction and to have contributed to laying the foundations for its continued success.
Katie Dyer, Lead Partner said: “It was a privilege to support The Hyde Group on a transaction of this scale. Bevan Brittan’s multidisciplinary team worked with The Hyde Group to prepare a large mixed-tenure portfolio for sale and collaborated with multiple organisations to achieve a successful transaction, laying the foundation for long-term success.”
