Leading commercial law firm Bevan Brittan has bolstered its construction practice with the addition of an experienced construction and infrastructure partner.

Perveen Akhter has joined from Freeths, where she was Head of Construction and Engineering in Birmingham. She has worked with private and public sector clients on a range of projects across her 20-year career, specialising in drafting and amending building and engineering contracts.

Perveen also advises on consultant appointments, warranties, bonds and guarantees, as well as development and funding agreements, agreement for leases, novation agreements and ancillary project documentation. She has particular expertise in the energy sector and has advised on developments related to solar, battery storage, wind and carbon capture.

Perveen is listed as a Leading Individual in the Construction sector and as a Leading Partner in the prestigious Legal 500.
