Leading national law firm Bevan Brittan has published its latest Responsible Business Report, showcasing the progress made over the last 12 months and setting out a new series of pledges for the year ahead. Building on the foundations established in its inaugural report last year, the report demonstrates how responsible business continues to be embedded across the firm's strategy, operations and culture.
The report outlines achievements across governance, environmental sustainability, community engagement, equality, diversity and inclusion, and wellbeing. Key highlights include setting a target to reduce Scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions by 45% by 2030, delivering 2,245 hours of volunteering and pro bono support, achieving a total community contribution value of £348,251, and maintaining balanced female representation within the partnership at 53.8%.
Responsible business remains a key pillar of Bevan Brittan's growth strategy, supporting its ambition to be an innovative and responsible business while creating positive outcomes for clients, colleagues and communities. The report also reflects the contribution of colleagues across the business, whose commitment has helped turn last year's pledges into measurable progress.

Looking ahead, the report sets out 15 new pledges for 2026/27, including launching a Bevan Brittan Community Fund, delivering at least 750 hours of pro bono legal advice, supporting NHS decarbonisation initiatives, advancing social mobility and strengthening wellbeing and inclusion programmes. Together, these commitments will help drive the firm's responsible business agenda and support its continued sustainable growth.
