• I am a specialist housing management lawyer and a member of the firm's Housing and Property Dispute Resolution team. I specialise in all aspects of housing management including possessions, emergency and non emergency injunctions, disrepair, tenancy fraud and cases raising complex mental health issues. I often advise on proceedings where there are complex mental health issues, human rights and discrimination as factors in play. I am an experienced advocate and act for clients as an advocate in County Court proceedings for all hearings up to trial.

I have worked in the social housing sector since 2009, acting for both Housing Associations/Local Authorities and for tenants/defendants. I have a unique background having worked at a local Law Centre, in-house at a Local Authority and now in private practice. This varied and extensive background has helped me develop experience of all issues across the housing management spectrum.

Whilst working ‘‘on the other side of the fence’’ for tenants, I gained experience acting for vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals in all aspects of housing litigation including possession, anti-social behaviour proceedings and disrepair claims. My work representing tenants has given me unique experience of public funding, as well as the litigation techniques and strategies often used by tenant’s representatives. I now use this knowledge to support and assist social landlords.

The majority of my work is for Local Authorities and Housing Associations in managing their housing stock.
