The Bevan Brittan Health and Care Resolution team invite you to join them for a round up of topical medico-legal issues.
Who should attend?
Legal, Patient Safety and Governance Leads, ED clinicians, Legal Services Teams, NHS Resolution Case Handlers and HR Managers.
Agenda
With speakers from Bevan Brittan and NHS Resolution, this round table event will cover:
- Legal Update – an overview of recent cases of interest and forthcoming developments in clinical negligence
- Emergency Medicine – a look at the claims risks arising from a system under pressure and the work of NHS Resolution to implement the recommendations of their three Emergency Medicine Thematic Reviews published in 2023. This will include details of the pilot for the Emergency Medicine Recommendations to Implementation tool
- Staff claims under LTPS – a combined litigation and safety & learning presentation on best practice in the handling of and learning from LTPS slip and trip claims
- Just Culture – following the publication of Being Fair 2 and the Just and Learning Culture Charter in Spring 2023, we reflect on the current challenges and opportunities to achieve cultural change in healthcare
